Day-by-Day Itinerary

ARRIVAL IN ZANZIBAR & STONE TOWN TRANSFER

Upon arrival at Zanzibar International Airport or the main sea harbor, you will be warmly received by a Topma Tours and Safaris representative holding a personalized greeting sign. After receiving a brief tour introduction, you will board a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle for a smooth private transfer to your selected heritage hotel in historic Stone Town. Once checked in, you can spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing in your room or taking a peaceful stroll along the waterfront promenade at Forodhani Gardens. In the evening, gather for a delicious Swahili welcome dinner at the hotel restaurant as you prepare for the tropical activities scheduled for the upcoming days.

HISTORIC STONE TOWN TOUR & PRISON ISLAND EXCURSION

Your morning begins at 9:00 AM with a comprehensive guided walking tour through the narrow, historic alleyways of Stone Town, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accompanied by an expert local guide, you will visit iconic landmarks including the Former Slave Market at the Anglican Cathedral, the grand House of Wonders (Beit-Al-Ajab), the Old Arab Fort, the Palace Museum, and the historic Old Indian Dispensary Cultural Centre. At 2:30 PM, you will board a traditional wooden boat for a scenic trip across the bay to Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island. Here, you will tour the sanctuary caring for ancient Aldabra giant tortoises, learn about the island's intriguing history, and enjoy time on white sandy beaches perfect for swimming and coral reef snorkeling. You will return to Stone Town mainland by 5:30 PM in time for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.

KIZIMKAZI DOLPHIN WATCHING & JOZANI FOREST MONKEY SAFARI

At 8:30 AM, your driver will pick you up for a journey to the southern coast of the island, arriving at the traditional fishing village of Kizimkazi. You will board a boat into the warm waters of the Indian Ocean for a thrilling dolphin watching excursion, where you will have the chance to spot and even swim alongside wild spinner and bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat. At 2:30 PM, you will travel inland to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, the only national park on Zanzibar. Guided by a park ranger, you will walk through indigenous mahogany forests to observe the rare and endangered Kirk's Red Colobus Monkeys, stroll along elevated boardwalks through coastal mangrove ecosystems, and learn about local conservation efforts at Zala Park before heading back to your Stone Town hotel for dinner and rest.

SPICE & BOTANICAL TOUR, KIDICHI BATHS & NORTH COAST TRANSFER

Your final day starts at 9:00 AM as you check out of your Stone Town hotel and begin your transfer toward Zanzibar’s famous northern beach regions of Nungwi or Kendwa. En route, you will stop at a lush organic plantation for an interactive Spice and Botanical Tour. You will touch, smell, and taste fresh cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, lemongrass, and tropical fruits while learning about their traditional culinary and medicinal uses.
