The Thrilling Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience

Wake up early to the calls of the forest, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch. Meet your fellow trekkers and local Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) ranger guides for an informative safety briefing. You will be assigned to a specific gorilla family of 8 visitors max based on hiking capabilities. Accompanied by armed rangers and trackers, dive deep into the tangled undergrowth of the ancient rainforest. The hike can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours as trackers follow signs from the night nests. When you finally find them, all fatigue vanishes. Spend one full, unforgettable hour sitting just meters away from the gentle giants as they lounge, play, and feed. Walk back to receive your personalized tracking certificate, followed by a relaxing evening and dinner at your lodge. Accommodation Options: • Budget: Buhoma Community Haven Camp / Gorilla Valley Lodge • Mid-Range: Buhoma Haven Lodge / Gorilla Mist Lodge • Luxury: Four Gorillas Lodge / Buhoma Lodge / Chameleon Hill Lodge
